Fees

Based upon our experience and use of on line resources, we believe our turn around time is excellent. Our normal hourly fee for attorneys is $545.00 per hour. An hourly fee based relationship requires billing based upon time spent on or behalf of a client. A simple telephone call inquiring as to status of a matter, to extensive review of a document or treaty is billable. The assumption in an hourly rate relationship is that everything is billable. We attempt to be quite fair and reasonable with regard to this matter but your assumption should be that all time will be charged.

Often we can offer our clients the surety of a fixed fee for a particular project or transaction. We can do this based upon our experience, knowledge and use of technology to keep our overhead costs low. This assures the client that whatever steps or time allocated there is a convergence of interest with us that we are doing everything necessary to effectively complete a project and to keep costs low.

Reduced Fees and Pro Bono
Often times a party will be in need of corporate legal services without the ability to pay ordinary and usual fees, or none at all. Please take careful notice our pro bono and reduced fee policy only applies to those in need of business legal services. Examples are micro-economic businesses, newly formed businesses by disadvantage individuals and not for profit organizations without a strong fund raising base. These individuals or groups may be in need of structure, tax advice, employment agreements and the such. Also there may be not for profit organizations in need of short term business legal advice whether it be structuring a mortgage transaction for expansion or rules governing trustees. If you feel you or your group may be in need of such services contact us at probono@budowlaw.com. Please be specific as to the type of transaction or service you require, your background and history, if a charitable organization it must be a tax qualified organization, and the name and e mail address of one contact person. If we decide to accept any engagement on a pro bono or reduced fee basis we will require a written retainer signed by both our firm and you. Until such document is signed no attorney client relationship will be deemed to exist. We reserve the right to accept or reject any pro bono or reduced fee application without disclosure of the reasons for the same.
